The symposium will involve approximately 10-15 invited participants, including primary school headmasters/principals, school teachers, lecturers in education, political science and law, and registered counsellors. Participants may address one or more themes: translating education policy into school practice; pupil well-being, motivation and socio-emotional development; learner variability, inclusion and equitable support; teacher capacity and classroom practice; school leadership and governance; counselling, safeguarding, child rights and legal responsibilities; and school-family-community collaboration. Selected contributors will be invited to prepare a brief 10-minute presentation based on their professional or research perspective. These presentations will be followed by a structured roundtable/focus-group discussion to identify common concerns, workable strategies and priorities for future research and policy dialogue.
The main topics of this symposium are listed below.
Meanwhile, submissions aligned with the overall conference theme are also welcome.
